Welcome to Florie our new stylist.
Welcome to my second ever blog! I'm very new to this so hopefully I will soon be a dab hand. The Autumn season was much busier than anticipated and we have taken on a new stylist who is busy training now for the mad January ahead. We are lucky enough to have secured Florie who has studied Fashion and Contour Design at Leicester De Montfort University and has decided to come and assist us for retail experience to add to her vast knowledge of the construction of the gowns. She will be full time from January and will partner our fabulous Joanne and Hilary in the main salon as well as learning all the etiquette of the bridesmaid suite. We are hoping that after our brand new Bradgate Brides Plus collection has been launched in the Spring that Florie can assist with the next collection to bring some fresh ideas to our brides.
We haven't finalised all of our wedding fayres for the Spring however I have started to place dates on the site for you to make a note of them. If you love Ebony Rose bridesmaids then we have a treat in store for you! The whole collection is available to view in store at the end of February for one whole weekend! I suggest taking a look at some of the designs beforehand to see how glamourous and lovely they all with lots of matching juniors and flowergirls. (* ordering in February will bring the gowns into us in July onwards so if your wedding is before then , you really should be looking NOW)!.jpg)
All our new season gowns are gradually arriving and we have at least 45 from Maggie Sottero, Benjamin Roberts , Alfred Angelo and AnouskaG. All of these the girls and I have carefully selected out of the 100's we have seen at catwalks and we have been patiently waiting for them to arrive! All images will of course be placed on here for you to peruse through our amazing collection. They all hopefully will be in the salon by the end of January/mid February. AND we now have the incredible gown that Bella wore in the 'TWILIGHT' film to marry Edward Cullen. It is a slim line gown with lovely long lace sleeves and a very low cut back. The front is plain and tight fitting, It actually would look fabulous with a long veil', and would be perfect for a destination wedding also. It is priced under £600 so if you loved the gown there's no excuse for trying it on!
Our installment plan is really assisting our brides and many have taken us up on paying for their gowns over a 12 to 18 month period. We even have a few brides who trust us and like our salon so much they have been in, settled on a budget and are paying installments off BEFORE selecting their gown. It is a bit like a credit account which they can utilise when they are ready to try on the new season gowns. This is so different to when I first started many years ago when a bride only visited one salon, paid in full and then waited for her gown to arrive. How times have changed. I am certain that in the future it will be like the States where most shops are help yourself off the rail in enormous warehouses. I'm hoping that will be after my time at least!!
I am taking all the staff out to see 42nd street at the Curve theatre in Leicester just before Xmas and we are having a meal beforehand at San Carlo so we are all looking forward to our Xmas jolly! We are doing a secret santa each and I'm busy thinking of what pressie to wrap up in mine! So I hope everyone has a great Xmas and a Happy New Year and for lots of you it will be the last time you will be single!!! Next year you will be a MRS!! Love Susanne and the TeamXXX
