News Update AUGUST 2010

'Goodbye' mad, hectic July and 'hello' August!  Everything seems to be more relaxed this month, including the brides somehow.  However, the weather seems to be very unsettled and every Saturday we can guarantee that some relative will rush in just before a ceremony to purchase a wedding umbrella!  Karen and Susanne are off on holiday this month, and our new lady Sarah will be spending the whole month training in the bridesmaid suite ready for the usual Autumn rush.

Bridal deliveries are now in December at the earliest and so any weddings up until December 2011 can be ordered now.  Ordering your gown LATE is far too stressful for everyone, so please order at least 6 months before your wedding date or even earlier please.

A little quote from one of our brides this week to make you smile - Mum says to bride, "What on earth shall I do with your gown when you are away on your honeymoon?  What if it gets lost?  Where shall I put it?  Does it need washing? Oh my! Oh my!".  Bride replies, "Mum, it is not a guinea pig!  You do not have to water and feed it, and you don't have to take it for a walk!" - Well we all absolutely fell about laughing..... 

Bradgate Brides now have our new season bridesmaids in store ready for the coming season with all the new colour palettes. Alfred Angelo/Dessy and Raylia are all great dresses and you must make certain you don't leave ordering too late as rush orders are very expensive!! Leave 16 to 20 weeks before your wedding date please at least. Remember that we have the largest selection in the Midlands and order at least 100 maids outfits every month of the year. That's a lot of dresses!!!! (Our poor prepration lady...she has to check and iron every single one ready for the first fit).!!

Bride of the Month August 2010 - SAMANTHA HAYES Samantha first came to see us in April 2009 when our stylist Jo gave Sam a number of gowns to try on.  Sam fell in love with an Italian design from eddy K in beautiful taffeta with stunning beadwork.  In July she came back and we accessorised her with a lovely veil and tiara. In December 2009, the men finally came in for their suit fittings.  Once Sue had sorted them out, they all looked so handsome, especially Andy, the groom.   The gown arrived in May 2010 as requested and Steph did a fantastic job on the alterations which included the length and bustle.  The gown was picked up a week before the wedding and Samantha looked absolutely fabulous as you can see.  The couple are on honeymoon at present in Mexico and we would like to wish them all the best for their future happiness.
