Alive and kicking (...and steaming)
Apologies for the lack of blog posts! Me and my girls have just been so busy with all you fantastic brides, bridesmaids and grooms men!
Let me start by saying what a fantastic clearance day we had the week before last!! We didn’t know how the turn out would be for the monthly clearance sale as it fell on Jubilee Sunday and it was pouring with rain all day!! Our brilliant Carol and Gaynor need not have worried, they were kept so busy all day and 10 fabulous gowns were sold at incredible prices….Amanda, Victoriana and Kitt all by Maggie Sottero were sold and all current samples! A duplicate, BRAND NEW 2228 by Benjamin Roberts was snapped up by a lucky bride for £250 under list price and others all went for under £400 each… So we were happy the gowns found brides that loved them and the brides were no doubt extremely happy they had found their dream gowns too!!
In the salon there is just never a dull moment for any of us…the phones ring endlessly, upwards of 50 emails are answered daily and the bridal salon, maids suite and suit hire are always busy full of eager brides and grooms… Audrey and Steph are working flat out on alterations now and will do so until well after the Summer and we get to prepare some where in the region of 30 to 40 gowns or dresses every week!!! That is some ironing to do!!!
Watch out for next month’s mega-sale on Sunday 1st July and some extra special offers as we need to make way on our rails for all our new Maggie Sottero gowns which arrive mid August… Yipee!! And finally many thanks to the wonderful Beth Pole for some surprise chocolates thanking us for all our help and to our lovely Jo Rudkin who flew off to sunny climes on Friday to get married who bought us in some sumptious cup cakes, we look forward to seeing the images and we’ll place them on our brides gallery…….
